He served as their head coach for the next five seasons before rejoining Parcells with the New England Patriots, and they and the team reached the Super Bowl.

Divorce
The couple’s marriage would stay strong for many years, but in 2006 it was announced that Debby Clarke had divorced with her husband. While the reasons were not known initially, it was revealed that the two had actually separated before the 2004 season, according to the Patriots organization, because Bill had started a relationship with the former receptionist of the New York Giants Sharon Shenocca, an affair which became the reason for the slow crumbling of his marriage. He reportedly sent monthly cash gifts to Shenocca worth around $5,000 each, and also bought her a twin house that is valued at $2.2 million.
