What movies has Cristine Prosperi been in? Her Age, Height, BF

Cristine Prosperi

The Canadian actress Cristine Prosperi, was born on 7th April 1993, in Toronto Ontario, and is best-known for playing Imogen Moreno in “Degrassi”. The vibrant brunette, who began acting at just three years old with a TV advertisement for Unico, has seen her career go from strength to strength, while managing an astonishingly rare feat in this day and age by maintaining her image scandal-free after over a decade in the public eye.

Cristine is 5ft 3ins (160cm) tall and weighs about 53kgs (116lbs).

Career

Fans of Cristine are aware that the actress is also a trained singer and dancer who discovered her passion for the arts at a young age. In 2007, she played a young Iraqi girl in the TV movie “Stir of Echoes: The Homecoming”. She also had a minor role in “Your Beautiful Cul de Sac Home”, an indie project which failed to make waves in theaters.

In 2009, Cristine guest-starred in an episode of “The Latest Buzz”. Two years later, she landed her first recurring role as Tiara in 11 episodes of “Really Me”, also juggling a recurring role as Aria in the webseries “Totally Amp’d”. Needless to say, her acting breakthrough was portraying Imogen Moreno in “Degrassi: The Next Generation”, as her character was one of the show’s stars from seasons 11 to 14.

Imogen, who is described as wild and energetic, appeared in 95 episodes of the show, and was first introduced to viewers while helping Eli (played by Munro Chambers) get over his crush on Clare (played by Aislinn Paul). Imogen then became Eli’s love interest, but moved on after realizing that he was wasting her time.

Shortly afterwards, Imogen began a relationship with Fiona (played by Annie Clark), found out that her father had dementia, and broke up with Fiona when the latter graduated. Throughout the show, Cristine’s character underwent a lot of necessary growth, as she overcame her parents’ divorce and other difficult topics. Viewers were glad to see her have a happy ending, as she decided to study fashion at New York University, and embrace her single life and sexuality.

While shooting for “Degrassi”, Cristine filmed just one other project, the TV movie “Nicky Deuce”, possibly due to contractual obligations forbidding her from working on other shows. In 2015, she was cast as Mikayla Walker in “Open Heart”, a Canadian mystery-drama series which was cancelled after one season.

Since then, Cristine has guest-starred in “We Are Disorderly” and “Raising Expectations”. However, the majority of her roles have been in TV movies such as “The Wrong Neighbor”, “Killer Competition”, and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder”. Although these low-budget projects have done little to take Cristine’s career to the next level, they are a steady source of income for the actress, as she films two or three times a year.

According to reliable sources, Cristine’s net worth is as much as $3 million, thanks to her acting accomplishments.

Personal Life

In July 2023, Cristine tied the knot with the professional ice hockey player Jordan Binnington, and took on his surname. As the actress is so low-key about her private life, news of the ceremony didn’t make any major publications, although Redditors on the Degrassi subforum briefly covered the big day.

Jordan was raised in Toronto and Richmond Hill, and began his junior sports career in 2009, playing for the Owen Sound Attack in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Following a positive 2011-11 OHL season, Jordan helped take his team to the J. Ross Roberston Cup final, where Sound Attack played against the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, and won.

After ranking as the top 2011 NHL Entry Draft eligible goaltender, Jordan was selected in the third round of the draft by the St. Louis Blues and signed a three-year entry level contract with the team. He didn’t make his in-game debut until January 2016, when he played against the Carolina Hurricanes. In July 2016, he signed a one-year contract with the Blues.

Over the next couple of years, Jordan didn’t spend much time on the ice, as he was reassigned on loan to the Providence Bruins in late 2017, however, he was named to the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic. During the 2018 off-season, he signed a one-year contract with the Blues, and was assigned to its AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, for the 2018-19 season.

In December 2018, Jordan was recalled by the Blues to the NHL, as the team had the worst record in the NHL. Five days later, the ice hockey star made 25 saves while playing against the Philadelphia Flyers, eventually helping the Blues win six straight games, and was named as the NHL First Star of the Week, as well as the NHL Rookie of the Month.

With the passing months, Jordan broke several records, and was eventually announced as a finalist for the Calder Memorial Trophy. With his help, the Blues defeated the Dallas Stars in the semi-final series. In 2019, the Blues advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals against the Boston Bruins, defeating the rival team in game seven, and taking home their first Stanley Cup in 52 years.

As Jordan had proven himself to be one of the best players on the team, he was offered a two-year, $8.8 million contract extension by the Blues, which he accepted. Although the 2019-20 season was truncated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Blues won the Central Division and the Western Conference. However, Jordan performed poorly in the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs as he lost all five of his starts, and was outshone by the back-up goaltender, Jake Allen.

Overall, the Blues finished fourth in the 2021-21 West Division. Although the team lost out to the Colorado Avalanche in the 2021 Stanley Cup play-offs, Jordan was recognized as a valuable asset, as was resigned to a $36 million contract extension. In March 2023, he made headlines for punching Minnesota Wild player Ryan Hartman and being ejected from the game; the NHL suspended the goaltender for two games following the incident.
