Who is Lee Soo-hyuk?
Lee Hyuk-Soo was born on 31 May 1988, in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi, South Korea, and is an actor as well as a model, best known for appearing in numerous television shows since the 2010s. He’s also appeared in several popular magazines in South Korea, and has modeled internationally for luxury brands.

Lee entered the entertainment industry as a model first, and made his debut in 2006 when he worked in the fashion show Lone Costume for designer Jung Wook-Jun. His debut was successful, and it led to more modeling work on numerous catwalks for shows of luxury fashion brands, most notably with Song Zio and General Idea.
He also started appearing frequently in magazines, including for “GQ” which is a men’s magazines that feature various topics, including travel, sports, books, fitness, food, sex, music, and many more. He also made appearances on the covers of “Elle” and “Bazaar”.
Lee’s continued modeling work saw him making television appearances, mostly working with girl groups in their music videos, for such as Gavy NJ and 2NE1, a group that found fame in the late 2000s after appearing alongside the boy band Big Bang.

Transition to Acting
In 2011, Soo-hyuk began appearing in more acting projects, focusing towards finding a career as an actor. One of his first projects was in the show “Vampire Idol”, a sitcom aired on MBN. Other projects included “What’s Up” and “White Christmas”. He also began appearing in films, including “The Boy from Ipanema”, an independent film that had him film scenes in Sapporo, Japan.
In 2013, he continued acting in both films and on television, being cast in “Shark” and “Don’t Look Back: The Legend of Orpheus” which starred Kim Nam-Gil.
While working as an actor, he also continued as a model. He traveled to Europe and featured during the Paris and London fashion weeks, showcasing outfits released for the 2013 Fall/Winter collection. He was featured in the magazine “Style Minutes” too, and was named one of the Breakout Faces of the fashion industry.
In 2014, he left his former agency SidusHQ and signed a new deal with Star J Entertainment, immediately signing a new contract, and gaining several new projects, including as one of the lead characters in the television series “High School King of Savvy”.
Lee also worked in the series “Righteous Love” which aired on tvN for a total of 20 episodes early in 2015, starring alongside Uhm Tae-Woong and Lee Si-Young.
Later in the year, he was cast in the show “Scholar Who Walks the Night” which is an adaptation of the cartoon of the same name. It tells the story of a noblewoman who loses all her riches and must cross-dress to work as a male bookseller to make ends meet – she then meets a vampire.
His next project was in 2016’s “Local Hero”, which starred him alongside Jo Sung-Ha and Park Shi Hoo. He didn’t take any long breaks during the year, as he was cast in “Sweet Stranger and Me” and “Lucky Romance”, which is also based on a web cartoon of the same name.

After his contract with Star J Entertainment ended, he signed a new contract with YG Entertainment, one of the biggest entertainment companies in South Korea. However, he wasn’t able to get into any new projects right away, as he had to complete his mandatory military service. He completed basic training and served for the next two years as a public service officer. He returned to acting soon after, with one of his latest projects being the film “Pipeline”.
Lee Soo-Hyuk is single and he’s not been reported to be in any romantic relationships during his career. Like many talents, they hold off on announcing any relationship unless it is generally approved by management. They also prefer to keep quiet any information about any long-term partners if they are not celebrities.
He’s often busy with his career, though he continues to enjoy being involved in the fashion industry; he loves fashion design and improving his sense of style. He often appears in big red carpet events as well, especially since he signed with YG.
