What Christian Isaiah is Doing Now? His Age, Height, Career
Contents
Christian Isaiah is a 16-year-old American actor and child model, best known for playing Liam Gallagher in the “Shameless” television series.
Early life and education, source of career
Christian Isaiah was born on 15 December 2007 in Virginia Beach, Virginia USA. His mother, Anita Marshea, noticed his passion for acting, singing, dancing, and modeling from a young age. When he was only a year and a half old, she signed him up for a modeling competition in Virginia, in which he ended as the runner-up, and won the award for the best smile. Christian primarily modeled until he turned four, then became an actor in school plays and programs. His mother instilled her Christian faith in him – he prayed often, and believed in God’s plan as a kid.
Christian’s breakthrough as an actor happened at age five when his mother took him to Los Angeles, California, where he performed at the International Presentation of Performers conference. Christian told YAYOMG! that his mom’s friends inspired her to take that step, as they heard about an audition for a Disney Channel project.
Christian received over 25 callbacks from talent agents and managers at the event, the most in his group. Consequently, in 2013, Christian’s mother retired from the US Navy after 20 years and moved with him to Los Angeles so that he could start his acting career. Christian signed with Domina Holbeck, the vice president of the Los Angeles division of the Abrams Artists talent agency, according to his profile on Backstage.com, a website for models and actors looking for work. He then joined the SAG-AFTRA performers union. Christian reportedly excelled at everything he did afterwards, including extracurricular activities and school that he attended in person. His mom found work as a pastry chef.
Career
Christian officially began acting in 2015 as Young Torrance in the short film “Ambivalent Hope: A Gun and a Prayer.” He then appeared in two episodes of the “Reel Kids” series and a recurring role as Kenny in the FX network television series “Married” the same year. Christian’s first television appearance was in September 2014, when he played a young boy in a segment of a comedy sketch in the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” talk show.
Christian’s role as Young Lincoln marked 2016, as he appeared in an episode of “The Hit: Episode 5 King is My Hero” series and in the short film “The Hit: Justice for Mike Brown.” Christian started the following year by appearing in one episode of the “Teachers” television series as Timmy, then starred in two short movies, “Frolic ‘N Mae” and “Lemonade Mafia.”

Joining “Shameless”
In November 2017, Christian was cast as Liam Gallagher in the four-time Emmy Award-winning comedy-drama TV series “Shameless.” The series is an American adaptation of the eponymous British series, which aired from 2004 to 2013, and follows a dysfunctional working-class family. However, the setting was urban Chicago, Illinois, USA, not a council estate in Manchester, England. Other things were similar, such as that the patriarch Frank, played by William H. Macy, had problems with alcohol and drug abuse. That forced his children to fend for themselves and negatively impacted their upbringing, as their starting point was a toxic environment and extreme poverty
Developing Liam
Christopher played the youngest family member and stepped into the role in the eighth season as the third iteration of the character. Thus, he had the difficult task of taking over from Brandon and Brenden Sims, the twins who portrayed the character from the third to the seventh season. Refinery29 called the swap ‘kind of shocking to the system, as the writers didn’t include a passage of time to explain the transition.’ Christian’s hair texture was also vastly different, and his complexion was much darker. The twins faced that challenge to a lesser extent, as they replaced toddler actors Brennan Kane and Blake Alexander Johnson, who played Liam in the first two seasons.
Regardless of the poorly handled switch and frequent critique about increased political overtones, Christian convinced the audience and remained in the role until the series ended in 2021 after 11 seasons. He told YAYOMG! that the role forced him out of his comfort zone, as he did and said things that he otherwise wouldn’t. Furthermore, Christian revealed to Outsider that he learned a lot from the cast and that the series taught him that he doesn’t need to be blood-related to consider someone a family member.
Christian reprised the role in six hour-long episodes of “Shameless Hall of Shame” in 2021. “Shameless” co-creator John Wells produced that companion series, which offered ‘a retrospective look at the trials and tribulations of the Gallagher family.’ Christian told Pop Culturalist that he would have focused on mundane things in Liam’s life if he could rewrite the storyline for the character. He included examples of earning money for a haircut, caring for his appearance, playing basketball, and creating music with Chance the Rapper, a Chicago-based rap artist. He told Young Entertainment Magazine that the main thing that he has in common with Liam is wisdom and that he would have liked Chadwick Boseman to star in “Shameless.”
Plans
Christian appeared in other notable projects while filming “Shameless,” such as the TV mini-series “Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G” in 2018, in which he portrayed the young version of Tupac Shakur, better known as rapper 2Pac. He also appeared in movies such as “Dead Women Walking” that year, and “Induced Effect” and “21 Bridges” the following year. Christian told Pop Culturalist that one of the opening scenes in “21 Bridges” required him to cry, but he refused to use artificial tears and other means. Instead, he went into a dark place mentally and cried naturally for hours to challenge himself.
In 2020, Christian also landed a unique role as Phil Saunders in several episodes of “Borrasca,” a podcast-based audio drama series about people disappearing in Drisking, Missouri, USA. In 2022, Christian played Jaden in an episode of “All American: Homecoming,” a television series about two young athletes trying to make it in their respective college sports, baseball and tennis. Although he took a break from acting in 2023, Christian is set to appear as himself in “Surviving Sunset an Actor’s Hollywood journey,” a low-budget documentary-style movie about the journey of an actor pursuing a career against all odds. His dream role is to play a nephew or son to a character in “The Fast and the Furious” movie franchise, preferably to characters Roman, played by Tyrese Gibson, or Tej, portrayed by Ludacris. Another of his goals is to star in a Marvel movie or the “Hawaii Five-0” television series if it ever airs again or gets a spin-off. Moreover, Christian signed with Eris Talent Agency in 2023, which may mean that he wants to diversify his future roles with a new team. Extra proof is that in June 2023, he started weightlifting and doing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) under the supervision of Harris Martin, Doctor of Physical Therapy.
