Who is Jason Nash? His Age, Height, Girlfriend, Net Worth

Jason Nash

The internet personality and comedian Jason Nash was born on 23rd May 1973, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and rose to fame on the now-obsolete social media platform Vine, with almost three million followers at the time of its discontinuation.

Jason matriculated from Medfield High School in 1991, and then pursued a college degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Afterwards, he worked as Norm Macdonald’s assistant on “Saturday Night Live”, subsequently moving to Los Angeles in 2001, after being cast in the VH1 sketch show, “Random Play”.

Career

Having moved to L.A to take his comedy career to the next level, Jason perfected his craft by training with the Upright Citizens Brigade. Shortly afterwards, he and two associates founded the “Price, Nash, and Blieden” sketch troupe, which was selected to perform at the Aspen Comedy Festival three times. In 2010, the Bostoner also reached the semi-finals of “Last Comic Standing”, which helped raise his public profile.

In the mid-2010s, Jason directed, wrote and starred in the films “FML” and “Jason Nash is Married”; the latter project originally a Comedy Central web series. Following the release of “FML” in 2016, the comedian also joined David Dobrik’s “Vlog Squad”, and began featuring in his YouTube videos.

Around the same time, Jason created his own YouTube channel, after becoming a popular member of the “Vlog Squad”; the prolific comedian also created two web series, “The Shaman” and “How to Be a Man”.

These days, Jason is a vlogger with over three million subscribers on his main YouTube channel. His second YouTube channel, “Jason Nash Family”, contained videos of his children Wyatt and Charley, but was later shut down when ex-wife Marney Hochman disapproved of the youngsters being exposed to the internet in such a public way.

Podcasting is another of Jason’s many talents, as his debut podcast, “Guys with Feelings”, debuted in 2006 and ran for at least two years. A decade later, he and David began co-hosting their weekly podcast “Views”, which debuted in 2017, and specialized in interviewing internet stars such as TikTok icons Charli and Dixie D’Amelio. The last “Views” episode was in April 2022, and there’s been no official announcement regarding the future of the podcast.

Personal Life

As mentioned, Jason was previously married to Marney Hochman; according to online sources, the lowkey couple divorced in 2017 after a decade of union. The exact reason behind their divorce is unclear, but the former couple are believed to be on cordial terms and focused on co-parenting Wyatt and Charley, who were born in January 2006 and January 2009 respectively.

From summer 2017 to February 2019, Jason was in a relationship with controversial media personality Trisha Paytas, who is well-known for documenting almost every instance of her life, has millions of online followers and has gone viral on many occasions. As an active figure of the YouTube community since 2007, she’s been criticized countless times for problematic comments and behavior, such as when she mocked the LGBT community.

A few months after breaking up from Jason, Trisha came out as transgender, claiming to feel like a gay man, which many netizens felt was a disingenuous publicity stunt due to her previous homophobic comments. One could say that 2019 was a disastrous time for the influencer, as she was involuntarily taken to a mental health facility three times, after struggling with the online hate she received in the aftermath of her and Jason’s split.

Trisha’s concerning behavior at this time was also influenced by other factors: as a teenager, the YouTuber was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, followed by a borderline personality disorder diagnosis in later years. Meanwhile, Jason maintained a dignified silence, although he did occasionally hint at some of the reasons why he and the social media star didn’t work out.

In a 2022 podcast appearance with YouTuber Dave Portnoy, Jason finally discussed his and Trisha’s relationship in depth. According to the Bostoner, the blonde was very much into him when they first met. ‘Trisha loved me so much and so did her seventeen personalities,’ he told Dave. ‘We were doing really good and then it got to a place where I didn’t like the relationship but couldn’t get out.’

Jason explosively claimed that Trisha threatened to ‘ruin’ him and his friends if they ever broke up. He also recounted unpleasant incidents with the blonde, such as when she allegedly drove her car into his house. Ending his podcast appearance on a positive note, Jason praised Trisha for being ‘great’ with his kids and having many redeeming qualities.

Controversy

One topic that the media personality avoided during the informal interview was the alleged sexual assault incident that came to light in February 2021, when YouTuber and former Vlog Squad member Seth Francois recounted being kissed by Jason without his consent back in 2017.

Seth recounted that he was pranked by David and Jason, and told that he would be kissing vlogger Corinna Kopf while blindfolded; however, Jason kissed him instead, which he described as a ‘traumatizing experience’. Many are waiting for the Bostoner to publicly apologize or address the allegation, which he has yet to do. However, David briefly apologized to Seth in a YouTube video shortly afterwards.

This isn’t the first time that the Vlog Squad’s antics have come under fire. Former member Nik Keswani previously described the group as ‘toxic and cult-like’, saying: ‘I was just constantly stressing about “How do I escape from this”’. Meanwhile, Trisha claims that David and Jason would constantly play pranks on her while she was dating Jason, even though they knew it would make her uncomfortable, and that Jason only broke up with her because David told him to do so.

Although people generally take Trisha’s allegations with a grain of salt due to her problematic history, it’s true that David monetized and made public many intimate aspects of Trisha and Jason’s relationship, going so far as to record the first time Trisha met Jason’s children. David has also been embroiled in a number of controversies over the years, many of which he’s chosen to ignore.

2023

After Trisha, Jason began dating Nivine Jay, an author and aspiring TikTok star, who went viral in 2021 after sharing that she had accidentally unmatched actor Ben Affleck on the celebrity dating app Raya. Jason and Nivine announced their engagement in December 2022, but apparently are in no rush to plan their big day just yet.

Jason, who is 5ft 9in (180cm) tall, is reportedly worth over $1 million.
