The meeting sparked a love affair which grew to become a romantic and culminated in a marriage proposal in 2003 in a Paris bar, and they married a year later, in a ‘talk of the town’ wedding in Paris. It was reported that Chris gave Vicky a Harry Winston diamond ring; Chris’ best man was agent Jeff Kwatinetz. Their marriage was blessed with two children, son Christopher Nicholas Cornell and daughter Toni Cornell. The blissful union became sour 13 years later, with the news of Chris’s suicide by hanging in his hotel room at the age of 52 years.

Vicky is a philanthropist who in 2012 founded Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation. The charity helps to raise awareness of, and assists homeless children living in poverty, abuse, and neglect issues.
Personal Life and Bad Publicity
Chris Cornell was the lead singer of the bands Audioslave and Soundgarden; he was born on 20 July 1964. He debuted in the music industry in 1984, and carved a niche for himself with his unique voice and performance style. He is known as a leading voice in pioneering the grunge movement in the 1990s.
Before Karayiannis and Cornell marriage, he had earlier married Susan Silver, who was also the manager of Cornell’s band at the time. They tied the nuptial knot in 1990; the marriage was blessed with a daughter named Lillian Jean, prior to their divorce in 2003.
