Miller made her acting debut at the age of 10 with her portrayal of the young version of the titular character in the TV film “Clementine.” In 2015, she made a one-episode appearance as Paula Makiato in the episode “Spoiler Alert” of the Nickelodeon TV comedy series “Henry Danger.” In the same year, she played the nine-year-old Shelby in the Disney Channel comedy TV series “Best Friends Whenever,” which follows the adventures of the teenagers, Cyd (portrayed by Landry Bender,) and Shelby (played by Lauren Taylor), who after a science experiment goes horribly wrong, begin traveling through time uncontrollably until the teen genius, Barry (Gus Kamp) comes to their aid and teaches them how to harness their new powers. The show was created by Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff.
In 2016, Amiah landed the role of Young Rebecca in David F. Sandberg’s directorial debut, the supernatural horror film “Lights Out” and also appeared in an episode of the CBS TV action-adventure series “MacGyver.” Miller landed her breakthrough role of Nova in the commercially and critically acclaimed sci-fi action film “War for the Planet of the Apes.” In the film, Caesar and his army of chimpanzees are forced into a conflict with humans, whose army is led by a cruel colonel. 2017 also saw Amiah play a young version of Sara in the thriller drama movie “Trafficked”, and in the same year, she landed the starring role of Emma in the Adam Gierasch-directed horror movie “House by the Lake,” which also starred the likes of Anne Dudek, James Callis and Michael Bowen.
