DJ Envy’s debut studio album “The Desert Storm Mixtape: Blok Party, Vol. 1” came out in 2003 and received mixed reviews; he then mixed music once a month for the radio show “Takin’ it to the Streets”, and was eventually hired as a co-host of the morning show “Hot 97”, working alongside American R&B singer and radio personality Tarsha Nicole Jones, aka Miss Jones. DJ Envy could then have been heard working on the shows “The People’s Mix”, “The People’s Choice Hit List” and “New at 2”.

DJ Envy, Charlamagne tha God and Angela Yee began hosting “The Breakfast Club” on 6 December 2010; Angela eventually left, but Charlamagne and DJ Envy have continued hosting the show to this day.
