Who is Otto Farrant?
Otto Pendragon Farrant was born in Hammersmith, London, England, on 13 November 1996 – his zodiac sign is Scorpio, and he holds British nationality. He’s an actor and musician, with close to 20 acting credits to his name, while he’s perhaps still known best for his portrayal of the supporting character Joshua Maxwell in the 2011 romantic comedy movie “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen”. It was directed by Lasse Hallstrom, starred Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt and Amr Waked, and follows a man who has been approached by a sheik’s consultant, claiming that sheik wants his help to bring fly-fishing to the desert; the movie was nominated for six awards.
Early life and education
Otto was raised in Tooting, South London by his parents, about whom little is known, as he respects their privacy; it’s believed that his father is a theatre actor, and that his mother’s a dancer. Otto hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, and is thus believed to be an only child.
Otto became interested in acting at a very early age, after he had seen the character Gavroche in the musical “Les Miserables”. He then began practicing acting at Stagecoach Theatre School, and made his debut film appearance aged 10, in the 2007 short horror “Picnic”.
Otto went on to act throughout his entire education. He studied at Graveney School, and upon matriculating in 2015 didn’t enroll at college, but focused on working on his way up in the film industry.
Roles in movies
Otto played Young Perseus in the hit 2010 action adventure fantasy “Clash of the Titans”, directed by Louis Leterrier, and which starred Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes. It follows the demigod and Zeus’ son Perseus, as he’s battling Hades’ minions who are trying to conquer Earth and Olympus; the movie won four of the 18 awards for which it was nominated.
In 2011, Otto played Barnabus in the family fantasy horror “The Great Ghost Rescue”, and the following year saw him star as Son in the short drama “Happily Ever After”. He portrayed Young Collector in the 2014 drama “National Theatre Live: A Streetcar Named Desire”, directed by Benedict Andrews and Nick Wickham, and which starred Gillian Anderson, Clare Burt and Lachele Carl.
The movie follows the neurotic woman Blanche DuBois who has been exiled from Laurel, Mississippi because she has seduced her 17-year-old student.

Otto made his debut TV series appearance in the 2010 episode “Who Dares Wins” of the crime drama “The Bill”, created by Geoff McQueen, and which starred Graham Cole, Jeff Stewart and Trudie Goodwin. It follows the police officers working at East London’s Sun Hill Police Station, aired from 1984 and 2010, and won nine awards including two BAFTAs, while it was nominated for 26 other awards.
The year 2013 saw him play Thomas Grey in the hit historical romantic mini-series “The White Queen”, which starred Aneurin Barnard, Rebecca Ferguson and Amanda Hale, and follows three women who want the throne of England in the 15th century; it was nominated for 16 awards, including four Primetime Emmys.
Otto appeared in a 2014 episode of the drama “Silk”, and played Petya Rostov in three episodes of the 2016 historical romantic mini-series “War & Peace”.

This is mostly why there are rumors circulating the internet, concerning Otto’s current relationship status and his sexual orientation.
Some of his fans believe the actor to be gay, claiming this to be the reason behind him not speaking of the girls whom he has dated; a fan has even claimed to have seen Otto and his boyfriend spending time together, but no evidence has been provided to support these claims, nor has Otto commented on the rumors.
