María Eugenia Suárez Riveiro was born on 9 March 1992, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to parents Guillermo Suárez and Marcela Riveiro Mitsumori. She is the younger child in the family – her older brother is named Agustín Suárez. Suárez’s maternal grandmother, Marta Mitsumori, is of Japanese descent, and Suárez has cousins residing in Kōchi Prefecture in Shikoku, Japan. Most recently, she starred in the 2023 film “El Duelo”, in which she played the role of Rita. Directed by Augusto Tejada, the movie features Joaquín Furriel as the co-star, with Suárez and Furriel portraying the characters of Rita and Ernesto, respectively. The plot follows Ernesto who, in the depths of depression, hires a hitman to end his life. However, the story takes an unexpected twist when he encounters Rita, whose character’s love helps Ernesto with a newfound reason to live.

Music Career

In addition to acting, China is also a singer. While a part of the Teen Angels, she recorded several songs, including “Reina Gitana” (2007), “Te Perdi” (2008), and “Cambiar de Aire” (2010), before leaving the group.

She returned to music in 2022 with the release of the song “El Juego del Amor”, a duet with Celli. Moreover, she recorded the song “Ya No Quiero Verte”, with El Polaco the same year, while in 2023, she worked with Rusherking on the song “Hipnotizados”.
