Run don’t walk to find some nature: It is a balm on days like today when some humans act against the nature of humanity and you find yourself lost in clouds of sadness and confusion. Today i was given a reprise from my mind lost in trying to understand such violence and hatred…. by finding myself in the path of a butterfly migration. Here I almost swallowed a few, then taught myself how to have awe with a shut pie hole! #butterflymigration #tallestmustardever #natureheals
Early life and education
Torri has never shared anything about her parents in public except for saying how she was raised by a single mother who was a theater actor for a long time before becoming a famous producer. Torri doesn’t speak about her siblings either but she does have a younger brother named Luke Higginson, who is the vocalist of the alternative rock band “Debaser”. She grew up wanting to be a lawyer, or anything else which would bring her some money and make things easier for her mother, but as the years went by, she started to fall in love with language, poetry and music, and wanted to become a theatre actress. She attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama located in London, but didn’t continue her education after that – she went to classes together with Ewan McGregor, a Scottish actor later famous for his role of the young Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars prequel trilogy.
Torri’s career began with her role of Suzanna in “The Photographer’s Wife” feature film shot in 1991 – she went on to appear in three movies in 1992, 1993 and 1994 called “The Women of Windsor”, “Family Pictures” and “TekWar: TekLords”. One year after that she won the role which is considered to be the most important in her career – the main role in the movie entitled “Jungleground” in which she appeared alongside three actors from the “Stargate” franchise. The movie was just one step closer to her role of Dr. Elizabeth Weir in the “Stargate SG-1” TV series, which she landed in 2004, and later starred in the third season of “Stargate Atlantis” while also appearing in a couple of episodes of the fourth season.
Some of Torri’s recent noticeable appearances include the “This Life” CBS TV drama series in 2015, and “Inhuman Condition” web series in 2016 in which she played the main character Dr. Michelle Kessler – Torri has been inactive for three years now, not having any roles since 2016.
There is not much known about Torri’s personal life, as she keeps these kind of things to herself – she used to date Paul Raven, bass player for the band “Killing Joke”, but their relationship ended with Paul’s death in October 2007. She then dated musician John Kastner who was a member of the band “DoughBoys”. Torri was rumored to be going out with Michael Shanks, a famous actor and a songwriter and they were also said to be getting married, but Torri denied all the rumors. Torri has never married, doesn’t have any kids, and is currently living alone with her dog – she is a big lover of animal.
Torri had her personal crisis when she hit forty. She stated in an interview with “The Mary Sue” that she stopped working at that time, and didn’t know what to do with her life – she thought about doing Botox in order to appear younger and return to the TV screens, but decided against it and instead changed her profession. She claims to have been working non-stop for the past few years, but didn’t say what exactly she’s doing for living.
Appearance and net worth
Torri is currently 49 years old. She has long dark brown hair, green eyes, is 5ft 7ins (1.7m) tall and weighs around 125lbs (57kg) – her vital statistics are 35-24-34.
According to authoritative sources, Torri’s net worth is estimated to be over $1 million, while her annual income is said to be around $140,000.

‘When you get older, in the past especially, it has been harder to have a presence in a straight narrative. I think sci-fi and genre stuff in general has been more open to the Female Commander of a Spaceship, so you can have a bit of age and a bit of gravitas for that.’
‘I kind of found it later on. I remember as a child I was a bit of a ham, I would come up with characters and stuff but I watched my mother, she was a single mother raising two kids and she was a theater actor for a long time and I watched her go through a lot of pain, it was really hard. It was hard to have the income, it was hard to have the continuum so I remember as I young person I wanted to be an optometrist and then a lawyer, I wanted something very rational and very regulated.’
