Robert was raised in Providence by his father about whom nothing’s known, as Robert respects his privacy, and his mother Kaye Capron who’s also an actress, and played Robert’s mother in “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. Robert became interested in acting at a very early age, and after having noticed his passion, his parents began taking him to auditions. In 2009, Robert played an extra in the critically acclaimed biographical family drama “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale”, directed by Lasse Hallström, and which starred Richard Gere, Joan Allen and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. The movie follows a college professor who has rescued an Akita puppy, and it was nominated for a 2010 Russian National Movie Georges Award for Best Foreign Drama Movie.
A couple of Robert’s following roles were in the 2010 family action adventure “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, the 2012 family comedy “The Three Stooges” and the 2012 animated comedy drama “Frankenweenie” (voice role). Robert has appeared in only four TV series, making his debut appearance in the 2012 episode “Get Your Business Done” of the hit family comedy “The Middle”. It was created by Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline, starred Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn and Charlie McDermott, and follows the lives of a woman and her dysfunctional family; the series aired from 2009 to 2018, and won 14 of the 52 awards for which it was nominated, including a Primetime Emmy nomination.
Robert played Lex Johnson in the 2012 episode “The Cast” of the short action adventure “R. L. Stine’s the Haunting Hour”, and between 2014 and 2018, he played the supporting character Mason in the popular mystery crime drama “Elementary”.
