Who is Erica Pinkett?

American reality TV star and actress Erica Pinkett was born under the zodiac sign Leo on 13 August 1982, in Boston, Massachusetts USA. She’s perhaps known best for being the girlfriend of famous American rapper Darryl Raynard Richardson III – aka Lil Scrappy – and this led to her being cast to star in eight episodes (2013-2014) of the reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”, which has been airing since 2012 and today stars Mimi Faust, Karlie Redd and Rasheeda. It follows the lives of several men and women involved in the entertainment industry, and the series has won one of the five awards for which it’s been nominated.

Erica’s today highly active in the film industry, and is currently shooting for the upcoming movies “Trap City” and “Secret Society 3: ‘Til Death”.

Education and early life

Erica was raised in Boston by her parents, but she prefers not to speak in public about them as she respects their privacy; her father’s believed to have been a real estate agent and her mother an accountant, but this hasn’t been addressed by Erica. She’s believed to be an only child, as she hasn’t mentioned having siblings.

Erica studied at a local high school in Boston, and enjoyed taking part in various activities during her time there, as she loved to dance, appear in school plays and play various sports. She matriculated in 2000, and then enrolled at college, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2004.

It remains unknown what Erica did for a living in the following 10 years, prior to launching her acting career.

Roles in movies

Erica’s debut film role was playing Jackie in the 2015 action “Recognize 2”, and her two following roles were in the 2015 drama “Bankroll Squad”, and the 2016 short crime drama “Untitled”.

In 2017, she played Briana in the popular biographical musical “All Eyez on Me”, which starred Kat Graham, Danai Gurira and Demetrius Shipp Jr, and was directed by Benny Boom. The film follows the life of famous American actor, rapper and poet Tupac Shakur, but was nominated for only a single award. Erica could then have been seen appearing in the 2019 comedy “How High 2”, the 2020 romantic drama “Steppin’ Back to Love”, and the 2021 drama “Secret Society”.

The year 2021 also saw her play Peaches in the crime drama “Triple D Revenge”, which Mista E wrote and directed, and which starred Tom Dacey Carr, Jamal Benoit and Gabriella Arlene; it follows the lives of several men involved in criminal activities. Some of Erica’s following roles were in the 2021 crime drama “Chedda Boys”, and in 2022 the drama “Secret Society 2: Never Enough” and the romantic drama “Single Not Searching”.

Also in 2022, she played Candice the Ghost in the comedy “Strange Love”, which starred Michael Anthony, Carl Anthony Payne II and Patrice Lovely, and was also directed by Carl; it follows a young married couple who’ve just bought their dream home.

Erica’s since appeared in three movies: the 2022 thriller “Unfair Exchange”, the drama “Women of the Jury” and thethriller “When It Rains”, both in 2023.

Roles in TV series

Erica’s appeared in three TV series. Her debut was playing Student Desk Clerk in the 2019 episode “Finding Magnolia” of the thriller comedy “Insatiable”, which starred Christopher Gorham, Debby Ryan and Dallas Roberts, and was created by Lauren Gussis. The series aired in 2018 and 2019, and follows a civil lawyer who’s become a beauty pageant coach.

In 2022, Erica portrayed Claire in the episode “Dear Mama” of the thriller “I Got a Story to Tell”, which starred Monti Washington, Apryl Jones and Pooch Hall, and follows six people as they’re searching for love.

Her only other TV series role has been playing Dilla in two episodes of the 2023 biographical crime drama “BMF”, which starred Demetrius ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory, Da’Vinchi and Tyshon Freeman, and was created by Randy Huggins. It follows the lives of two brothers who went on to found Black Mafia Family (BMF), one of the strongest crime families in the US;  the series was nominated for three awards.

Love life and boyfriend

Various websites have reported that Erica and Lil Scrappy are today married, however, this seems to be misinformation as Lil Scrappy’s still today married to American actress and reality TV star Adi Bambi Benson; the two exchanged vows in 2019, but separated around two years later, when Lil Scrappy began dating Erica.

Erica and Lil Scrappy have a daughter together, named Jada-Bella, but she prefers to keep the girl away from the media’s attention, as she wants her to be able to lead a normal life.

Erica’s yet to speak about other men whom she’s perhaps been with; she’s in a relationship with Lil Scrappy as of November 2023, hasn’t married, and has a daughter with Lil Scrappy.

Erica seems to be enjoying the attention which she’s receiving from her fans on Instagram; over 460,000 people are following her on the network today, and she’s posted nearly 1,300 pictures and videos, with most featuring her acting, spending time with her friends and partying at clubs around Los Angeles, California.
