However, his parents divorced in 2003 when he was only four years old, so he stayed with his mother. He isn’t the only child of his parents, since he has an elder brother named Sean Norfleet, who is a film studies major at Emerson College. His maternal grandparents are Oscar-winning actor Jack Nicholson and former actress Sandra Knight Stephenson.

Duke holds American nationality, and belongs to the White Caucasian ethnic group. In terms of his religion, Duke identifies himself as a Christian.

He once revealed that he directed one short film in high school, entitled “The Happy Fisherman”, but never showed it to anyone. His life took a significant turn after a friend introduced him to Grant Singer, a music video director. This connection led to Duke being cast in the music videos for The Dandy Warhols’ “Cather In The Rye” in 2016 and Slowdive’s “Don’t Know Why” in 2017. He then got a chance to work on the 2018 short film “The Great American Mud Wrestle”, which was directed by Hunter Ray Barker.

Rise to Prominence

Duke came to prominence in 2019 when he made his acting film debut with the role of Danny/Tony in the mystery-thriller “Us”, written and directed by Oscar-winning director Jordan Peele, and sharing the screen with such notable actors as Lupita Nyong’o, Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker and Winston Duke. The film follows the story of a family on vacation who finds themselves under attack by their doppelgängers. It premiered at the 2019 South by Southwest Film Festival, receiving widespread critical acclaim for its originality and the performance of the cast. The film was also a commercial success, grossing over $256 million worldwide against its modest budget of $20 million.

Duke’s next major project came later that year when his friend Lana Del Rey invited him to pose with her on the cover of her Grammy-nominated studio album, entitled “Norman Fucking Rockwell!” He also made a cameo appearance in the music video for the same song.

Besides his acting endeavors, Duke also tried himself as a model, since he modeled for Louis Vuitton during the same year.

When it comes to speaking about his upcoming projects, it’s announced that he’ll portray Alex in Peter Gold’s drama “Thena”, next to Will Peltz, Malia Baker and Kevin Breznahan. The film is currently under post-production, but its release date is still undisclosed. Besides that, he’s set to appear in Tony Kaye’s comedy crime “The Trainer” and Julian Schnabel’s crime mystery “In The Hand Of Dante”, alongside Gerard Butler, Al Pacino, and Jason Momoa.
