Julia Rehwald hails from California, USA, and was born under the Scorpio zodiac sign on 1 November 2001, which makes her 22 years old as of 2023. She’s of Filipino roots from her mother’s side and Slavic through her dad – she’s kept her parents’ names under wraps, but has a sister and brother named Joanna and James Rehwald respectively. Career Beginnings

Before she began her acting career, Rehwald worked several odd jobs – such as a waitress at a New York City restaurant. She later began working as a model, and one of her earliest commercials was in mid-2017 for the furniture manufacturer, IKEA. She made her acting debut as Isabel in the 2017 Greyson Horst-written and directed short film “Where’s Darren,” in which she starred alongside Joel Oladapo and Alexander Fordery. Her next appearance was in the short comedy film “Mukbang Masarap.”

Rise to Prominence

In 2021, Julia learned about the mystery horror film trilogy, “Fear Street” through the American filmmaker and director, Leigh Janiak, with whom she’d worked in a previous project. Janiak encouraged her to audition for the roles of Lizzie and Kate – she landed the role of Kate Schmidt in “Fear Street Part One: 1994,” which follows a group of teenagers who take on an evil force plaguing their town for centuries, after a series of brutal murders occur. The Leigh Janiak-directed film aired on Netflix and starred Emily Rudd as Cindy Berman, Sadie Sink as Ziggy Berman, and Kiana Madeira as Deena. For her praised portrayal of Kate, Rehwald was selected to reprise her role in “Fear Street Part Two: 1978.” The 2021 film was a success, and won a ReFrame Stamp Award in 2022 – It was nominated for three awards including an MTV Movie + TV Award.

Rehwald was thereafter cast as Lizzie in the third and final installment of the “Fear Street” film series, “Fear Street Part Three: 1666,” which won a Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Streaming Premiere Movie in 2022, and was nominated for a Hollywood Make-up Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Award in the same year. The “Fear Street” trilogy was based on an eponymous book series by the American novelist, Robert Lawrence ‘R.L.’  Stine.
