Who is Lorena Meritano?

Argentine actress Lorena Meritano was born under the zodiac sign Libra on 30 September 1970, in Concordia, Argentina. She has 30 acting credits, and is perhaps still known best for playing the lead character Veronica Villa in 23 episodes of the 2007 mystery comedy series “Amas de Casa Desesperadas”, created by Marc Cherry, and which also starred Ana Maria Orozco and Ruddy Rodriguez; it follows the lives of several single women.

Lorena decided to take a break from acting in 2018, and has recently made her return, playing a supporting character in the 2023 historical science fiction adventure movie “Duenos del Tiempo”, but which failed to attract any attention.

Lorena was raised in Concordia by her father Enrique Meritano and mother Adela Gelfenben, however, because Lorena respects their privacy, not many details have been shared about them; it’s widely believed that her father was a pilot and her mother a housewife, but this is yet to be confirmed. In 1999, Lorena played Carolina ‘Caro’ Dominguez in 12 episodes of the romantic comedy “Muneca Brava”, and her following three roles were in the 2001 romantic comedy “Eco Moda”, the 2003 drama “El Autentico Rodrigo Leal”, and the 2004 romantic drama “Pasion de Gavilanes”. The year 2006 saw her star as Frida de Carbo in all 120 episodes of the romantic drama “Merlina Mujer Divina”, which also starred Valentina Acosta and Rodrigo Candamill, and follows two people who’ve fallen in love. Some of Lorena’s roles in the remainder of the 2000s were in the mystery comedy “Amas de Casa Desesperadas”, the crime “La Lectora” and the crime drama “Mujeres Asesinas”.

In 2011 and 2012, she played Virginia Campos Miranda in all 111 episodes of the romantic drama “Passions of the Heart”, which starred Marlene Favela, Susana Dosamantes and Guy Ecker, and follows a poor man and a wealthy girl who’ve fallen in love.

Lorena’s three most recent TV series roles have been in the comedy “House of Queens”, the comedy “Your Lucky Day” both in 2013, and the 2018 action crime adventure “The Beauty and the Beasts”.
