Who is Tylen Jacob Williams?
American actor Tylen Jacob Williams was born under the zodiac sign Sagittarius on 8 December 2001, in Westchester County, New York State. He has six acting credits, and is perhaps still known best for Tylen’s debut TV series role, playing Baby Drew in two episodes (2005) of the critically acclaimed musical comedy series “Everybody Hates Chris”, which starred Tichina Arnold, Terry Crew and Chris Rock, and was created by Chris Rock and Ali LeRoi. It follows the lives of an African-American teenager and his dysfunctional family, the series aired from 2005 through 2009, and won seven of its 58 award nominations.
Education and early life
Tylen was raised in Westchester County alongside his older brothers Tyrel Jackson Williams and Tyler James Williams, both of whom are today popular actors, by their father Le’Roy Williams who’s a police sergeant, and mother Angela Williams who’s a singer-songwriter.
Tylen was only four when he was cast to appear in “Everybody Hates Chris”, and the year 2006 saw him play Jadon Gibbs in the episode “The Calm Before” of the crime mystery “Without a Trace”, which starred Enrique Murciano, Poppy Montgomery and Anthony LaPaglia, and was created by Hank Steinberg. It follows a group of people working for the FBI Missing Persons Squad, it aired from 2002 through 2009, and won 21 of its 68 award nominations.
Tylen had no roles in the following six years, as his parents wanted him to focus on his education. He attended a local elementary school in Westchester County, prior to progressing to a local high school in 2016; Tylen was into several activities during his teenage years as he enjoyed playing sports, running track and appearing in school plays.
He matriculated in 2020 and even though he’s yet to address this, it’s widely believed that Tylen attended college, from which he’s graduated just recently in 2023.
Acting credits
Tylen played Charlie in the 2012 episode “Campaign Ad” of the critically acclaimed comedy series “Parks and Recreation”, which starred Nick Offerman, Jim O’Heir and Amy Poehler, and was created by Michael Schur and Greg Daniels. It follows a group of Indiana town’s public officials, the series aired from 2009 through 2015 and won 25 of its 180 award nominations.
From 2013 through 2015, Tylen starred as James Phillips in all 65 episodes of the family comedy “Instant Mom”, which also starred Sydney Park, Michael Boatman and Tia Mowry, and was created by Jessica Butler and Warren Bell. It follows a 25 years old party girl who’s just married a man with three children, and the series won two of the nine awards for which it was nominated.
The year 2015 heard Tylen voice Finn the Mer-Boy in the episode “Attack of the Pirate Piranhas” of the animated family adventure “Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates”, which starred Jeff Bennett, Corey Burton and David Arquette, and was created by Bobs Gannaway; it follows the adventures of a young pirate.
Tylen’s only other acting credit has been portraying Jordan Cavanaugh in the 2017 episode “Trade Secrets” of the crime thriller series “Wisdom of the Crowd”, which starred Natalia Tena, Richard T. Jones and Jeremy Piven, and was created by Ted Humphrey. It follows a tech innovator who’s developed a crowd-sourcing hub to solve his daughter’s murder, and the series was nominated for a 2018 Young Entertainer Award for Best Guest Starring Young Actress – Television Series for Haley Bri Powell.
Even though Tylen hasn’t been active in the film industry since 2017, he hasn’t officially retired from acting.
Other credits
Tylen’s debut talk-show appearance was in a 2012 episode of “Disney XD’s My Life”, while the following year saw him appear in an episode of “Teens Wanna Know” and “TeenNick Halo Awards”.

In 2014, he competed in an episode of the game-show “Webheads”, which was created by Michael Krupat and starred Carlos PenaVega and Jack Griffo; it aired 40 episodes in 2014 and 2015, with each featuring four contestants competing in a ‘series of viral video viewing challenges’.
Also in 2014, Tylen appeared in an episode of the talk-show “React to That”, and his only other appearance has been in a 2015 episode of the talk-show “Minay TV”.

Tylen’s yet to talk about the women whom he’s perhaps been with, and most of his fans believe that he simply prefers to keep his love life away from media, because of how it might affect his career and vice versa.
