Emily spent most of her childhood in Jacksonville, Florida with her parents Gary and Jo Swallow, but who she never talks about, nor mentions any siblings, which makes people believe that she is an only child. She attended Stanton College Preparatory School, and where she began acting in numerous college theatres. Emily’s career began in Broadway theatres, acting in several plays including “High Fidelity”, “The Taming of the Shrew” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” while she also appeared in some off-Broadway shows such as “Romantic Poetry” and “Measure for Pleasure”. Her first TV role was as Regina in the “Guiding Light” TV series in 2006, which led to 2007 appearances in “Jericho”, “Flight of the Conchords” and “Journeyman”. She landed her first movie role the next year in “The Lucky Ones”.

In 2012, Emily and Jac Huberman, singer and a comedian, launched the stage show named “Jac N Swallow”, performing it in Laurie Beeckam Theater and Joe’s Pub. It is a comedy show about the two of them as they go through various life challenges, and are now developing a TV series based on their characters.

In 2013, Emily won the role for which she is famous today – the lead role of FBI agent Kim Fischer in “The Mentalist” TV series, appeared in a total of 14 episode until the season ended in 2014. Chad Kimball

Chad was born on 2 September 1976 which makes him three years older than Emily. He spent his childhood in Seattle, Washington State, and graduated from Boston Conservatory in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in acting. He soon moved to New York City, and landed a role in the Broadway musical called “The Civil War”, but just three weeks before the show was closed. He went on to appear in the off-Broadway play “Godspell” in 2000, the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods” in 2002, and in “Lennon” and “Good Vibrations” in 2005. The role which helped him get recognized was the lead in the musical entitled “Memphis” in 2008, starring in the role until late 2011, being nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

Since 2018, Chad has been appearing on Broadway musical “Come from Away”.

Volunteering

Emily is a noted philanthropist, and she spends a lot of her time working as a volunteer for the a non-profit environmental organization Los Angeles/Malibu Chapter of The Surfrider Foundation, with the goal of protecting oceans, waves and beaches.
