Wil Willis was born on the 13th February 1975, in Portugal, he is a reality TV star, former pararescue specialist and a retired Army Ranger, who came to prominence after being featured in the reality TV show “Special Ops Mission” (2009), aired on Military Channel, which is now known as American Heroes Channel. Wil was also the host of the show “Forged in Fire”.

Wil Willis Wiki: Early Life, Parents, and Education
Born into a military family, Wil moved a lot in his childhood, being born in Portugal but growing-up in the US, to where his family returned when he was two, and until 1991 lived in military bases across the states until his father retired. However, just two years later, Wil enlisted in the Army himself.
Wil joined the Army in 1993 and became a part of the 3rd Ranger Battalion, serving for the next five years, until February 1998, when he joined Air Force Pararescue, in which he stayed until March 2007, finishing with one year reserve duty for the Air Force until August 2008.
Television Career and Rise to Prominence
After he retired from military, Wil looked for new endeavors, and in 2009 he was picked-up for the new reality TV show on American Heroes Channel, “Special Ops Mission”, in which he would solo special operation missions against groups of opposing-force (OPFOR) operatives, which consisted of regular and special operations veterans in simulated war game missions. The show became quite popular with the public, however, it only lasted for six episodes, but WIl became a star thanks to the success of the show, and decided to pursue other television projects.

“Forged in Fire”
With his experience and success, Wil was then named by the History channel as the host of the new show “Forged in Fire”. Produced by Outpost Entertainment, Wil and other weapons experts serve as judges to bladesmiths who compete to forge the best weapons; the show became quite popular and is now in its fifth season, In addition, Wil has also worked on the documentary series “Triggers: Weapons That Changed the World”, so his net worth has increased significantly over the years, thanks largely to these successes.
