Who is Lukas Urkijo?
Colombian actor and social media personality Lukas Urkijo was born under the zodiac sign Aquarius on 7 February 2008, in Colombia. He has nine acting credits and is perhaps known best for portraying Nikolaj in the 2023 fantasy movie “The Strange Case of a Claustrophobic Ghost”, written and directed by Alejandro Sugich, and which starred Fausto Espejel, Ana Emilia and Rodrigo Cachero. It follows a teenager who believes that a supernatural entity is hiding in his closet – the film won two of its eight award nominations.
Education and early life
Lukas and his brother Gregorio Urquijo, who’s today also an actor, are being raised solely by their mother Adriana Lopez in Mexico; she’s also an actress, with 33 credits to her name, perhaps known best for portraying Fiscal Adriana in a 2012 episode of the drama series “Dónde está Elisa?” The boys’ father is actor Mauro Urquijo; Mauro and Adriana weren’t married, and it was their mutual decision that Adriana takes care of the boys following their split.
Lukas fell in love with acting at an early age, mostly because his mother occasionally took him and his brother to her acting sets; he was 11 when he made his TV series debut, playing a supporting character in 20 episodes of the 2019 fantasy “Los Elegidos”, which starred Andres Baida, Carmen Madrid and Macarena Garcia Romero, and follows a group of children and adults who have supernatural abilities. The series was nominated for four awards.
Lukas is currently attending a local high school in Mexico City, from which he should be matriculating in 2026; it’s believed that he will then focus on his career rather than enrolling at college.
Roles in TV series
Lukas played Camilo Robles in eight episodes of the 2019 comedy “De Brutas, Nada”, which starred Carolina Ramirez, Christian Vazquez and Tessa La, and follows a woman who’s just been cheated on by her fiancé, and has now moved in with Alejandro believing that he’s gay.
In 2021 and 2022, Lukas portrayed Ignacio ‘Nacho’ del Rio in 76 episodes of the popular drama “Malverde: El Santo Patron”, which starred Mark Tacher, Carolina Miranda and Pedro Fernandez, and follows orphan Jesus Juarez who’s grown up to become a Robin Hood-like hero during the Mexican Revolution; the series was nominated for only a single award.

The year 2022 saw Lukas play Gerardo Fernandez in 10 episodes of the biographical musical “El Rey, Vicente Fernandez”, created by Dago Garcia, and which starred Marcela Guirado, Jaime Camil and Sebastian Dante. It follows the life of famous Mexican musician Vicente Fernandez, and the series was nominated for a Seoul International Drama Award for Best Series.
In 2023, Lukas portrayed Teodoro ‘Teo’ Gomez in 76 episodes of the drama “El Amor Invencible”, created by Pablo Ferrer Garcia-Travesi, and which starred Daniel Elbittar, Angelique Boyer and Danilo Carrera. It follows two people who’ve fallen in love despite their families being against their relationship; the series was nominated for only a single award.
Also in 2023, Lukas played Lalo in the episode “Mano el al Area” of the comedy “Chocolas Compayito”, which starred Mariazel Olle, Raul Araiza and Edson Zuniga, and follows former sports commentator Compayito as he’s being chased by loan sharks.
Lukas’ only other TV series role has been playing Gael Sanchez Perez in three episodes of the 2023 drama “Minas de Pasion”, which starred Anette Michel, Livia Brito and Osvaldo de Leon, and follows single mother Emilia who’s working as a miner and has now fallen in love with wealthy Leonardo.

Lukas has appeared in only one other movie besides “The Strange Case of a Claustrophobic Ghost”. In 2023, he portrayed Chavita in the drama “Totem”, written and directed by Lila Aviles, and which starred Marisol Gase, Montserrat Maranon and Naima Senties. It follows seven years old Sol as she’s staying at her grandfather’s house, and the film won 19 of its 45 award nominations.

Lukas doesn’t talk about his love life on the internet, however, because of his fashion style, behaviour and the pictures that he posts onto his Instagram account, most of his fans believe that he’s gay.
Lukas has recently posted a video onto his Instagram account, featuring him being rather too close to a Mexican singer; the two are believed to be in a relationship as they’ve also been seen together in public on more than a single occasion, however, this hasn’t been addressed by Lukas.
There are also those who claim that he’s straight, but is currently focused on his career; this hasn’t been confirmed either.
