Who is Kelly Ripa?

Kelly Maria Ripa is best known for her acting career, but is also a television producer and a talk program host. She was born in Stanford, New Jersey USA on 2 October 1970 to parents, Esther and Joseph Ripa, of Irish and Italian descent. Her mother is a homemaker and her father is a bus driver. Both Kerry and her younger sister named Linda were raised as Roman Catholic.

Kelly attended and finished the four-year Eastern Regional High School in New Jersey, where she started experimenting with acting and therefore never graduated from university – she started studying at Camden County College, at that point in her life she was interested in psychology but later on quit to pursue her acting career. She is the only person in her family to be a part of the movie industry, and other than acting, she is a ballerina and she can also play the piano. Kelly has an amazing figure even at the age of 48. Kelly had enough luck to be offered a role as co-host of the morning show called “Live!” in 2010 – Kathie Lee Gifford was about to quit her position and was looking for a replacement when she found Kelly. She and her friend – the host of the show, Philbin – managed to get an average of six million views every day. Kelly’s first love was Vincent Young, an actor from Philadelphia, but their relationship didn’t go for too long and she then started dating Mark Andrew Consuelos from Spain, who starred with her in “All My Children”. and could be described as love at first sight. They exchanged their vows on 1 May 1996 and in the upcoming years, Kelly gave birth to three babies – Michael Joseph was their first child, after him Lola Grace and then Joaquin Antonio.

Kelly and Mark together funded Milojo which is a production company, having a deal with Discovery Channel for some series which Kelly hosted. The company made its first short film in 2012, and while Kelly, her husband and their son Michael were featured in it. The short film was a medium success as it attracted over 1,000,000 views. According to authoritative sources, Kelly’s net worth is estimated at close to $120 million thanks to her acting and broadcasting career. She has an estimated annual income of $22 million.

Kelly won her first award in 1999, for Best Actress for her role in “The Stand-In”. Kelly holds a Guinness World Record for having 24 banana cream pies tossed at her mouth in one minute.  She also broke another world record for most grapes trodden, but later on lost it to Martina Servaty from Germany. There is a song dedicated to her called “Kelly Ripa” sung by the rock band from New Orleans – Cowboy Mouth. Kelly has been inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame. She once competed in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” and managed to win $250,000, which she donated to Tomorrow’s Children’s Fund, an organization which helps children suffering from cancer and blood disorders.

Kelly and Mark sold their penthouse in New York in May 2014 for $24.5 million.
