Who is Luz Edith Rojas?
Famous Mexican actress Luz Edith Rojas Reynoso was born under the zodiac sign Gemini on 28 May 1984, in Mexico City. She has 10 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for starring as Brenda Garay in all 81 episodes of the 2019 romantic series “Ringo, la Pelea de su Vida”, which Leandro Calderone created, and which also starred Jose Ron, Cesar Evora and Mariana Torres. It follows the life of Juan Jose ‘Ringo’ Ramirez, a recently divorced professional boxer, and the series won one of its 12 award nominations.
Luz is also known for being the only daughter of the late Mexican actor Alberto ‘El Caballo’ Rojas, who appeared in 87 movies and TV series, and is perhaps remembered best for his lead role in the 1991 science fiction fantasy comedy movie “Dos Nacos en el Planeta de las Mujeres”.

Luz was raised in Mexico City alongside her younger brothers Beto and Lucero, by their father Alberto and mother whose name remains undisclosed; it’s widely believed that Luz’s mother was a non-celebrity Mexican woman who preferred to be left out of media.
Luz fell in love with acting at a very early age, as her father occasionally took her to his movie sets, however, he insisted that Luz focused on her education rather than pursuing acting straight away. She thus attended a local high school in Mexico Cit,y and upon matriculating in 2002 enrolled at college, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2006.

Luz made her debut TV series appearance in the 2011 drama “La Banda”, and her following role came in 2015, when cast to play a supporting character in an episode of the drama “Shadows of the Past”, which starred Michelle Renaud, Alejandra Baros and Alexis Ayala, and follows the hatred and desire for revenge between two wealthy families.
In 2016, Luz portrayed a supporting character in four episodes of the popular romantic drama “Waking Up with You”, which starred Sara Corrales, Ela Velden and Daniel Arenas, and follows Pablo Herminio who’s begun working as a bodyguard of wealthy businesswoman Antonia, while they’ve now fallen in love.
Luz played both Karla and Paola in two episodes of the 2017 drama “Como Dice el Dicho”, and the year 2020 saw her play Soledad in the episode “La Cosas de Don Roque” of the comedy “Vecinos”, created by Eugenio Derbez, and which also starred Macaria, Mayrin Villanueva and Eduardo Espana. It follows the adventures and misadventures of a group of neighbors, and the series won one of its four award nominations.
The year 2021 saw Luz play Cari in all 85 episodes of the drama “Fuego Ardiente”, which starred Claudia Ramirez, Mariana Torres and Carlos Ferro, and follows two married couples as they’ve begun cheating on their partners.
In 2021 and 2022, Luz played Fabiana in all 97 episodes of the drama “SOS Me Estoy Enamorando”, which starred Cesar Evora, Iran Castillo and Daniel Arenas, and follows Alberto who’s trying to save his family’s print shop but has become distracted now that he’s fallen in love with a single mother.
Luz’s only other acting credit has been playing Nora in 89 episodes of the 2023 drama “Perdona Nuestros Pecados”, which starred Cesar Evora, Jorge Salinas and Erika Buenfil, and follows Elsa who comes from a wealthy family and has fallen in love with Andres, the son of her family’s maid.
Roles in movies
Luz has appeared in only a single movie: she played Wanda De la Fe in the 2023 comedy “Nosotros, los De la Fe”, written and directed by Julio Roman, and which starred Pablo Alarson, Arturo Allen and Montserrat Altamirano. It follows the lives of members of a deeply religious family.
