The fitness influencer and social media sensation Carriejune Anne Bowlby was born on 7th February 1996, in New Jersey, USA, and went from being relatively unknown to having millions of followers across the globe. Even so, fans are always wanting to know more, such as her relationship status, and what inspired her to begin bodybuilding.
Career
Carriejune’s fitness journey started in the early 2010s. In May 2023, she posted a decade-old throwback snap to compare how far she’d come along the way, and shared her high school routine with fans.
According to Carriejune, she would wake up early and get in a cardio workout before school started, stuck to a strict diet of plain chicken breast and vegetables which she prepped herself, and was studying to become a personal trainer. After school, she would go to the gym to lift weights for several hours and also made sure to ride her bike or walk wherever possible instead of driving. While juggling her studies and bodybuilding competitions, Carriejune also began working on her business plan.
Obviously, life is looking a lot different for the fitness fanatic these days. Carriejune founded Mini Beast Official in early 2018, and although she continues to wake up at the crack of dawn to do exercise, and meal prep, she’s also in charge of four warehouses, forty employees, and a demanding roster of clients.
Although Carriejune makes it look effortless, the road to success wasn’t an easy one for her. In the early years of Mini Beast Official, the blonde ran the business out of her apartment, garage, and even a storage unit, as she didn’t have the money for a warehouse or office space. ‘Anything is possible. Never stop chasing your dreams,’ she told her three million Instagram followers, also thanking them for their support.
The social media celebrity sells a range of fitness-related products, from apparel to supplements and training equipment. Carriejune is 5ft 4in (162.5cm) tall and weighs 61kgs (135lbs), so she understands the importance of designing clothing which is suitable for a variety of frames.
In a 2019 interview, Carriejune spoke to PJ Braun – president, CEO, and founder of the supplements company Blackstone Labs – about her career beginnings and the meteoritic growth her brand has experienced since she first worked with Blackstone.
According to Carriejune, she was just 18 years old and still a senior in high school when PJ got in touch with her in 2014 to discuss the possibility of a brand partnership. Despite her young age, Carriejune marketability and online platform clearly impressed PJ, as the pair embarked on a fruitful and long-lasting professional relationship of which they both reaped the benefits.
Blackstone Labs Scandal
In later years, Blackstone Labs’s image was steeped in controversy as the co-founder, Aaron Singerman, was sentenced for conspiracy to sell anabolic steroids and unlawful dietary supplements.
The South Florida native – who is also the former CEO of Blackstone – was sentenced to 54 months in prison and ordered to forfeit $2.9 million. By pleading guilty, Aaron admitted to selling products through Blackstone which were labeled as dietary supplements but were actually controlled substances that were illegal under federal law, and not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Between 2012 and 2017, Aaron and his co-conspirators lied to consumers by advertising the products in question as safe and legal dietary supplements. He also falsely claimed that the products had been made in FDA-approved registered facilities that followed all the required regulations. When consumers began sending in injury reports, Aaron and his co-conspirators didn’t notify the FDA despite it being required by law.
Although Carriejune was previously affiliated with the brand, she had nothing to say about the investigation or verdict. According to media reports, PJ was also indicted on several charges and faced prison time for money laundering and illegal steroid distribution charges; in February 2022, he was also sentenced to 54 months in prison. However, his social media accounts remain active and Blackstone Labs is still operating, so it’s possible that the media reports were inaccurate.
Personal Life
Carriejune recently tied the knot with her boyfriend of many years, Steven Ace. The attractive couple celebrated their big day at The Central House in Pennsylvania, a tasteful and elegant venue which catered perfectly to all their needs.
Although Steven has over 18,000 Instagram followers, his profile is private and he seems disinterested in being in the public eye. The real estate agent grew up on a farm in rural Pennsylvania and prides himself on his family values and personability; after matriculating as salutatorian of his high school class, he studied engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and graduated cum laude.
Steven and Carriejune may not appear to have much in common at a glance, but it’s possible they met while Steve was earning accolades as an amateur bodybuilder. Previously, the sporty estate agent was also the captain of a division 1 baseball team. According to an official biography, Steve worked as an analyst and engineer until he used his social media marketing expertise to launch his own business.
The home buying and selling process comes naturally to Steven, as he’s worked with multiple types of properties in various states, but specializes in waterfront properties. Steven is currently part of the Ocean’s Six Group, which was formed in 2007 and grew from a small business to a team of 25 full-time members. Ocean’s Six also boasts a team of professional specialists, from videographers and aerial drone pilots to a first-class marketing department, which set it apart from its competitors.
According to an Asbury Park Press article, Steven and Carriejune purchased their first property together in 2019. The 3,400-square-foot house in Toms River, New Jersey, set the couple back $1,550,000 and has been their home ever since.
The couple’s net worth is not public knowledge, but Carriejune reportedly has a $2 million fortune thanks to her endorsements, business, and work in the bodybuilding scene. Meanwhile, Steven is believed to be earning six figures or more annually as a successful estate agent.
