Who is Aria Bedmar?

Spanish actress and dancer Aria Bedmar was born under the zodiac sign Sagittarius on 1 December 1994, in Andalusia, Spain. She has 10 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for playing Hermana Narcisa in the 2023 horror mystery movie “Sister Death”, starring alongside Luisa Merelas and Maru Valdivielso, and which was written and directed by Paco Plaza. The film follows novice nun Narcisa who’s begun teaching young girls at a local school – it was nominated for a Feroz Award for Best Poster.

Aria’s currently working on several projects, including the series “Segunda Muerte” and “Operacion Barrio Ingles”.

Education and early life

Aria was raised in Almeria, Andalusia by her parents whose privacy she respects, which is why not many details have been disclosed about them; her mother’s believed to be a cashier at a local supermarket and her father a construction worker, but this is yet to be addressed by Aria. As she’s yet to talk about having siblings, most of Aria’s fans believe that she has none.

She fell in love with acting while attending Colegio Portocarrero in Roquetas de Mar in Almeria, as she joined the school’s drama club, and also appeared in a couple of plays performed at a community theatre; Aria then also became interested in dancing and practiced it at Roquetas’ local school for the arts.

She passed her Spanish University Admission Tests in 2015, and then moved to Madrid, Spain to study acting under famous Argentine-born Spanish actress, acting coach and director Maria Cristina Rota Fernandez.

Roles in TV series

Aria’s debut TV series role was playing Elisa Nerin in five episodes of the 2019 drama “La Caza. Monteperdido”, which starred Beatriz Carvajal, Alain Hernandez and Megan Montaner, and was created by Luis Moya and Augstin Martinez. It follows the disappearance of two girls from the small town of Pyrenee, while one of them has now returned; the series aired from 2019 through 2023 and won one of its nine award nominations.

In 2019 and 2020, Aria played the lead character Camino in 132 episodes of the drama “Acacias 38”, which aired its 1,400 episodes from 2015 through 2021, and also starred Sandra Marchena, David Venancio Muro and Maria Blanco; set in 1899, the series follows the lives of a group of maids working for bourgeois families.

In 2020 and 2021, Aria could’ve been seen playing Aueda in nine episodes of the thriller “Dime Quien Soy: Mistress of War”, which starred Pierre Kiwitt, Oriol Pla and Irene Escolar, and was created by Eduard Cortes. It follows the life of Amelia Garayoa in the 20th century, and the series won a 2021 Iris Jury Award for Lucas Vidal’s performance.

The year 2021 saw Aria play Eugenia in the episode “Vuela” of the romantic drama “The Cook of Castamar”, and in 2022, she played Merce in four episodes of the drama “Heirs to the Land”, which starred Jesus Carroza, Elena Rivera and Yon Gonzalez, and follows Hugo Llor as he’s making a living in 14th century Barcelona; the series won two of its three award nominations.

Aria played a supporting character in the 2023 episode “Primera Semifinal” of the musical “Benidorm Fest”, and her only other TV series role has been starring as Greta in all six episodes of the 2023 crime mystery mini-series “Muted”, which also starred Cristina Kovani, Almudena Amor and Aron Piper, and was created by Aitor Gabilondo; it follows Sergio who murdered his parents six years ago, and hasn’t spoken since then.

Roles in movies

Aria’s appeared in two other movies besides “Sister Death”.

Her film debut was playing the lead character Laura in the 2019 short horror “Desde Dentro”, which also starred Carmen Carnerero and Rosa Alvarez, and follows Laura who’s been forced to face her greatest fear in the midst of a storm.

In 2023, Aria played the lead character in the short horror “Raton de Biblioteca”, which also starred Andrea Guardiola and Raul Granell, and was directed by Javier Yanez Sanz; it follows a girl who’s become trapped in a haunted library.

Love life and relationships

Aria prefers to keep the details of her love life to herself, but it’s widely known that she’s lesbian, as well as that she was a married woman.

She began dating Kenzy Loevett back in 2013, after having met while Kenzy was performing with her Spanish rock ‘n’ roll group Megara; the two women could then often have been seen attending various events together. They married in a small and private ceremony in November 2019, attended by only their closest family members and friends, but the marriage ended in 2021.

There are no other women whom Aria’s perhaps been with, that we know about; she seems to be unattached as of December 2023, was once married to Kenzy Loevett, and doesn’t have children.

Interesting facts and hobbies

Aria seems to be enjoying the attention which she’s receiving from her more than 70,000 Instagram followers, and she’s posted over 420 pictures and videos; most of her Instagram content features her shooting for her TV series and movies, spending time with her friends and showing off her slim figure.

She enjoys being physically active and works out at the gym several times every week, while she’s also following a strict diet, avoiding sweets and fast food.

Aria’s still today on good terms with her former wife, and has recently attended one of her concerts.

She’s passionate about travelling, and has been to a number of European countries, mostly to shoot for her movies and TV series.

One of Aria’s favorite actresses is Penelope Cruz, and a couple of her favorite movies are “Vanilla Sky”, “Bandidas” and “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”.
