Who is Avantika Vandanapu?
American actress and dancer of Indian descent Avantika Vandanapu, was born under the zodiac sign Aquarius on 25 January 2005, in San Francisco, California USA. She has 18 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for portraying Janet in the 2022 comedy movie “Senior Year”, which starred Mary Holland, Angourie Rice and Rebel Wilson, and was directed by Alex Hardcastle. It follows a teenage cheerleader who fell into a coma, and has now awoken 20 years later at the age of 37; the film was nominated for two awards.

Avantika played Mahitha’s Friend in the 2016 drama “Mamamantha”, which starred Viswant Duddumpudi, Gautami and Mohanlal, and was written and directed by Chandra Sekhar Yeleti. It follows the lives of four people who are going through hard times, and the film won two awards. Also in 2016, Avantika appeared in the short drama “Praja Hakku: People’s Rights” and the romantic comedy “Premam”.
The year 2017 saw her play Anitha in the comedy “Babu Baga Busy”, which starred Diksha Arora, Anusha and Annapoorna, and was directed by Naveen Medaram; it follows a womanizer who’s slept with numerous women, but has now fallen in love. The same year also saw Avantika appear in the romantic action “Rarandoi Veuka Chudham”, and the action crime thriller “Oxygen”.
In 2018, she portrayed Daughter of Sampath Raj in the popular action “Agnathavasi – Prince in Exile”, which starred Anu Emmanuel, Keerthy Suresh and Pawan Kalyan, and was written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas; it follows an exiled heir who’s returned to his home after his father’s murder, wanting to avenge him.
Avantika’s since appeared in three movies, all in 2021 – musical comedy “Moxie”, the family musical comedy “Spin” (lead role), and the horror “Boomika” (lead role).

Avantika’s debut TV series role was playing Monyca in seven episodes of the 2020 family comedy “Diary of a future President”, which starred Charlie Bushnell, Selenis Leyva and Tess Romero, and was created by Ilana Pena. It follows a young Cuban-American girl who wants to become the president of the USA, and the movie won two of its 12 award nominations.
In 2019 and 2021, Avantika voiced Sareena Tapoor in two episodes of the short animated adventure “Mickey and the Roadster Racers”, which starred Bill Farmer, Nia Futterman and Tress MacNeille, and follows Mickey Mouse and his friends Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie as they’re racing in their unique transforming vehicles. The series aired from 2017 through 2021, and was nominated for six awards.
From 2020 through 2022, Avantika voiced Kamala in 30 episodes of the animated family adventure “Mira, Royal Detective, which starred Kal Penn, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Leela Ladnier, and was created by Becca Topol. It follows a brave girl from India who’s become a detective – the series was nominated for six awards.
Avantika’s only other TV series role has been playing Priya in the 2022 episode “Pre-Frosh Weekend” of the comedy “The Sex Lives of College Girls”.
