Weslie Fowler: The Mystery of Her Biological Father

Weslie Fowler

Weslie Renae Fowler was born on 26th May 2008 in Los Angeles, California, USA; she’s only known for being the daughter of choreographer and TV star Allison Holker, and adoptive daughter of deceased actor Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss.

The young social media sensation took a two-month break from the internet in the aftermath of Stephen’s tragic and unexpected death in December 2022, and her first post when she returned to TikTok was a touching tribute to her adoptive father, which she captioned ‘i miss u’.

As far as celeb kids go, Weslie’s pretty low-key and makes sure not to share too much personal info online. As such, we don’t know which high school she currently attends, but we can tell you that she’s on the soccer team and is loving the sport. In a previous Instagram post, the blonde wrote: ‘Soccer is where I can channel my focus in something I truly love, and form bonds that last a lifetime.’

Despite being active on Instagram like many kids her age, Weslie’s account is currently managed by her mother. In a November 2022 interview with Jennifer Hudson, Allison described the high school sophomore as ‘respectful’ and ‘such a good kid’.

However, that’s not to say that Weslie doesn’t know how to defend herself from online criticism. In 2020, the TikTok starlet was asked why she ‘dresses like a boy’ and eloquently clapped back by saying: ‘Patriarchy is dead… I wear comfy clothes and darker colors and just because I dress like that doesn’t mean I’m dressing like a boy.’

One of the last times Weslie was publicly photographed with both parents was in October 2022, when she attended the star-studded “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” premiere with Allison and Stephen. The touching bond between the adolescent and her mom and dad was evident to see, as is the close relationship that Weslie shares with younger siblings Maddox and Zaia.

The identity of Weslie’s biological father was a frequent topic of discussion when Allison and Stephen married in 2013. The most we know about him is that he was said to be engaged to Allison at the time of Weslie’s birth, which we have no way of corroborating. Nevertheless, the general public eventually lost interest in uncovering his identity.

Allison Holker

Allison was born in February 1988 in Anoka County, Minnesota, but grew up in Orem, Utah. The blonde began her dance training when nine years old, enrolling as a student at The Dance Clum in Orem, where she specialized in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary.

Four years prior to graduating from Timpanogos High School, Allison performed in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics. One of the most prestigious titles that the glamorous blonde has taken home over the years is National Senior Outstanding Dancer at the New York City Dance Alliance; shortly afterwards, she propelled her career to the next level with cameos in the first two movies of the “High School Musical” franchise.

The late 2000s saw Allison do commercial work and participate in season two of “So You Think You Can Dance”, which led to her dancing in the reality show’s nationwide tour after advancing to the Top 8. Other career highlights include being one of Demi Lovato’s backup dancers during her 2011 tour, and appearing in Christina Perri’s “Jar of Hearts” music video.

Throughout the 2010s, Allison performed as a backup dancer on “The X Factor USA”, and was announced as one of the professional dancers on “Dancing with the Stars”. Despite the Minnesota native being a gifted contemporary dancer, the decision to make Allison a cast member was met with controversy, due to her limited experience in the Latin Ballroom category.

Even so, Allison appeared in seasons 19, 20, 21 and 23 of the show, having been unable to participate in season 22 due to her pregnancy. The reason behind Allison’s departure remains unclear, but she took to Instagram to say: ‘I truly adore my DWTS family, it’s all love and I’m so excited for all of the competitors who are participating this season.’

Stephen Boss

Stephen Boss was born in September 1982, in Montgomery, Alabama, and studied dance performance at Southern Union State Community College and Chapman University after matriculating from high school.

The choreographer’s first TV appearance dates back to 2003, when he was a semifinalist on “The Wade Robson Project” and runner-up on the talent competition “Star Search”. From then on, he worked for several YG Entertainment artists such as Big Bang and R&B singer Seven, also making sporadic cameos in movies such as “Hairspray” and “Blades of Glory”.

Despite appearing in season three of “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2007, Stephen wasn’t selected to be in the Top 20. The following year, he had better luck and finished season four as runner-up, with one of his dances being nominated at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards. Over the next few years, Stephen made frequent appearances on the show, and was announced as one of the permanent judges in 2022.

As you can imagine, Stephen and Allison’s paths crossed in 2010 while filming for “So You Think You Can Dance”. Their exact relationship timeline is unknown, but the attractive couple performed their first choreography together in an April 2013 episode of “Dancing With The Stars”, the same year in which they became husband and wife.

After tying the knot in a beautiful Californian vineyard surrounded by their nearest and dearest, the choreographers went on to welcome two children together: Maddox, born in March 2016, and Zaia, with whom they completed the family unit in November 2019. Stephen, who has been described by various media outlets as a ‘family man first and foremost’, often gushed about the joys of parenthood and even discussed the possibility of trying for another child shortly before his death.

Mere days after his ninth wedding anniversary, Stephen was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Allison released an official statement the following day, in which she confirmed the TV star’s death and asked for privacy.

TMZ later reported that the dancer had left behind a suicide note in which he alluded at past problems; according to investigators, Stephen took an Uber from his home to a motel less than a mile away and switched his phone to airplane mode, meaning that he had been planning to commit suicide for a while. Since then, Allison and other sources close to the TV star have claimed that he suffered from depression, although apparently hiding it well in public.
