Early life and education

Rachel Sibner was born on 7 February 1991, in California USA. Not much is known about her early life except that she wanted to try acting at a young age. According to Rachel’s Facebook profile, she enrolled at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) in 2009 to study sociology and graduated in 2011. Moreover, in 2017, she earned a degree in communication disorders and sciences from California State University, Northridge, after five years of studying.

Career

Rachel Sibner debuted as an actress in the first episode of the Nickelodeon TV series “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide”, on 12 September 2004. It followed Ned Bigby, played by Devon Werkheiser, a student at the fictional James K. Polk Middle School in California, trying to make it through his first day and continue thriving until he qualifies for high school. His friendship group, Jennifer Ann “Moze” Mosely, Simon “Cookie” Nelson-Cook, and his nemesis, Billy “Bully” Loomer, played by Lindsey Shaw, Daniel Curtis Lee, and Kyle Swann, made his time at school more interesting.

Much happened before the series ended after three seasons on 9 June 2007; Ned had a crush on Jennifer, who he determined in the finale was the girl of his dreams, and Billy became much nicer to him after years of constant bullying, helped by his lackeys, Buzz and Crony. The writers eventually explained that Billy also had a crush on Jennifer, which explained the animosity.

Playing Lisa

Rachel portrayed Lisa Zemo, Ned’s friend and an awkward middle school student who sported black-rimmed glasses and quirky clothing. Besides becoming an outcast for her style, she was also a largely unpopular character because of her allergies and apparent addiction to nose drops due to her stuffy nose. However, the writers added many clues that Lisa has the potential to turn into a fan-favorite character.

Additionally, the writers hinted at Lisa’s talent for burping on command, which many viewers found disgusting but unique. Lisa also had a mysterious history. Many fans suspected that she had German ancestry and that the writers had drawn inspiration from Barons Helmut and Heinrich Zemo, noblemen from Marvel Comics books.

When the third season premiered, Lisa turned from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan; she learned to manage her allergies, solved her nasal congestion, and stopped wearing glasses. Moreover, she told her classmates that her mother had taken her shopping, and she’d changed her style. Unfortunately, Nickelodeon ended the series after an hour-long special about field trips, due to low ratings and budget constraints. During the No Filter with Zack Peter podcast episode, Devon explained that the show wasn’t canceled, but ended. According to Devon, the actors would have needed to sign a contract for a sequel series in which the characters attend high school, which Nickelodeon executives were unprepared to commit to.

Short movie and reboot potential

Rachel’s last role was as Miriam in the eponymous short film in 2007, after which she left acting behind as a career. According to Allvipp.com, lead actors Devon, Dan, and Lindsey revealed on the Vulnerable podcast in March 2023 that they petitioned Nickelodeon to reboot the series. They reminded producers that similar school-oriented TV series such as “Zoey 101” and “iCarly” received a reboot, Devon adding that ‘they proposed a great pitch to Scott Fellows, the creator,’ showing their dedication. Unfortunately, Nickelodeon refused their request; moreover, the production company prevented the actors from pitching the idea to others, as it owned the license.

Rachel moved on

The potential reboot stirred interest in where the actors are, and TVOvermind.com learned in September 2023 that Rachel has found success with a career in healthcare. She became an audiologist or hearing instrument specialist who identifies, assesses, and manages disorders with the hearing, balance, and other neural systems.

Additionally, her Facebook account showed that she visited Central Park in Manhattan, New York City, in 2012. Rachel has been charitable after she stopped acting; she attended the Give Back From The Heart Benefit Concert for the Midnight Mission of Los Angeles charitable organization and supported the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation with her “NDSSG” co-stars in 2009. Immediately afterwards, Rachel became its StarPower Ambassador to help children and their families thrive amid various struggles.

Unsurprisingly, Rachel started a Facebook birthday fundraiser 10 years later, and raised $670 of the $300 goal for the Autism Speaks organization. In April 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rachel raised $1,180 for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Finally, in June of that year, she returned the favor and donated to the Mychals Learning Place fundraiser organized by a friend.

Husband

Rachel married an unnamed bald man with a beard on 26 July 2020, according to her Facebook profile’s Overview page. They have a daughter born in 2021 or 2022, and live in Los Angeles.

Rumored boyfriend actor Dan Lee

According to WhosDatedWho.com, Rachel was romantically linked to fellow actor Daniel Curtis “Dan” Lee from 2004 to 2007. Dan played Simon ‘Cookie’, in the aforementioned “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide”  their characters had a relationship in the series, and the two were reportedly close on set.

One reason was that Lisa was overbearingly sweet and caring when she developed a crush on Cookie. While her love was unrequited, and Cookie mostly tried to evade her, she supported him during constant bullying.

Cookie immediately noticed a shift in Lisa during the third season, and suddenly became romantically interested, eventually falling head over heels for her. While Lisa paid little attention to him amid the sudden influx of date invitations, the writers indicated that the two characters ended up together. However, no concrete evidence of the relationship between Rachel and Dan exists, and most fans view it as an example of great chemistry between actors.

Physical characteristics

Rachel Sibner has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, is 5ft 1in (1.55m) tall, and weighs about 106lbs (48kgs.) Besides her petite physique, Rachel was recognizable for a prominent mole on the left side of her face, above her lip, which she removed, before 2009, presumably through a surgical operation. However, a mole under her right eye remains her distinctive facial feature.

Net worth

Rachel Sibner has a net worth estimated at over $200,000. She did not make a significant amount as a child actor and likely invested that money into her education in California. However, according to Salary.com, as a university-educated audiologist with degrees from two institutions, Rachel makes up to $120,000 yearly.
