Who actually is Jason Nash’s 19 years younger wife, Nivine Jay?
Nivine Jay
Remember that time an aspiring influencer went viral for accidentally unmatching actor Ben Affleck on the celebrity dating app Raya? Well, the young lady in question was none other than Instagram model and actress Nivine Jay – and if you’ve been keeping up with her since then, you’ll be aware that she’s currently married to Jason Nash, an internet personality and somewhat controversial comedian, who’s best-known for his stormy relationship with YouTuber Trisha Paytas.
Personal Life
When Nivine and Jason began dating, there was a huge amount of internet chatter regarding their 19-year age gap. After all, Jason was born in 1973 and was already a high school graduate by the time Nivine’s parents welcomed her into the world on 31st May 1992. Taking into account Jason’s sexual assault allegation and other public scandals which we’ll discuss later, it didn’t seem that his new relationship with Nivine would last.
Time passed and many netizens also thought that the unlikely couple’s December 2022 engagement announcement was nothing more than an elaborate prank, but as it happens, in February 2024 Jason and Nivine became husband and wife in a stunning ceremony that took place in Malibu, California. Nivine uploaded several photos of the big day with the tongue-in-cheek caption: ‘Guess it’s not a prank!’, with which she poked fun at their many detractors.
The comments under that post were underwhelmingly negative, with one Instagram user pointing out that Jason was always hanging out with people half with age, and another netizen asking if he planned to spend the honeymoon asking his TikTok followers for money. Since their big day, Nivine and Jason have gone somewhat quiet on social media as they settle into married life, but most of their followers think that a baby announcement will be the next big milestone in their union.
Apart from her online encounter with Ben and her current relationship, we have no information regarding Nivine’s dating history.
Career
With almost 80,000 followers on Instagram and hundreds of thousands of fans on other platforms such as TikTok, Nivine is a successful influencer who often does sponsored posts for the likes of The Ryl Company, Guess Originals, and Aere Aesthetics. Fashion and beauty content features heavily on the actress’s social media, and she’s also previously discussed wanting to go under the knife for a breast enlargement procedure.
As for Nivine’s TV and movie gigs, the brunette made her acting debut with an uncredited cameo in a 2014 episode of “Kroll Show”. In the same year, she played a sorority girl in the comedy movie “Neighbors”, and Alice in the short “The Donut Split”. After a seven-year hiatus, Nivine returned to screens with an outstanding depiction of Rehab Sam in the TV movie “Space Juice”. It’s safe to say that acting isn’t high on Nivine’s list of priorities however, as she has no projects lined up.
Back in May 2021, The Daily Mail and other news outlets did some digging into Nivine’s short-lived stand-up comedy career, and unearthed an old video in which the Houston native made tasteless jokes about date rape, prostitution, and other X-rated topics. Media publications also revealed that Nivine previously tried her hand at writing, with the poetry book “Cry Baby”, in which she documented the ‘five stages of grief… after heartbreak’. According to Nivine, the book was based on her experiences after coming out of a toxic relationship. ‘With every page written I could feel myself healing,’ Nivine wrote on Instagram in December 2017, months before the book was published. ‘This year was all about self-love.’
Most of these posts or videos are almost impossible to find now, with Nivine scrubbing a lot of her old content to rebrand herself as an influencer and model. However, it’s evident that the starlet underwent various facial procedures after relocating to Los Angeles, such as a rhinoplasty and lip fillers.
Jason Nash
Jason was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and studied at a local university before working as TV personality Norm Macdonald’s assistant on “Saturday Night Live”. In 2001, he was cast in the sketch show “Random Play”, and moved to Los Angeles so as to advance his budding comedy career.
Over the next decade and a half, Jason dabbled in a number of projects, such as the launch of his own sketch troupe and his directing debut, “Jason Nash is Married”. In the early 2010s, the comedian also became enormously popular on Vine and had three million followers at the time of the platform’s discontinuation.

2016 saw Jason became part of David Dobrik’s Vlog Squad and create his own YouTube channel, which he used to upload his web series’ “How to Be a Man” and “The Shaman”. It appears that the Boston native also had hopes of becoming a family vlogger, as he frequently uploaded content of his children Charley and Wyatt. However, Jason’s ex-wife Marney Hochman put her foot down, and eventually convinced the comedian to delete the videos.
Mere months after divorcing Marney in early 2017 following a decade of union, Jason began dating Trisha Paytas, who has been active on YouTube since the mid-2000s, and is said to be worth $12 million thanks to her social media income and acting gigs.
Despite previously coming under fire for criticizing members of the LGBT collective and other minorities, Trisha – who has paranoid schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder – appears to be ‘un-cancellable’, and her media empire is as strong as ever.
When Trisha and Jason broke up in 2019, the blonde influencer appeared to go off the rails, and was checked into a mental health facility three times, unable to cope with the hate commentary she received from Jason’s fans. As both parties refused to discuss the reasons behind their split for several years, netizens were left to come up with their own theories.
Controversy
In February 2021, former Vlog Squad member Seth Francois claimed to have been kissed by Jason without his consent during a prank gone wrong. David Dobrik and Jason had apparently told Seth – who was blindfolded during the prank – that he would be kissing vlogger Corinna Kopf; upon discovering that he had actually been kissed by Jason, Seth recalls feeling ‘traumatized’ and complained about not receiving a public apology. (Jason has never discussed the incident, whereas David apologized to Seth in a YouTube video shortly after the claims came to light).
Around the same time, Trisha finally broke her silence regarding Jason, claiming that he had only broken up with her because David told him to, which seems unlikely. Other allegations include that Jason and David would often play pranks on her without her knowledge, which they later uploaded on the Vlog Squad channel. Jason defended himself by sitting down for an informal interview with podcaster Dave Portnoy and claiming that Trisha had previously crashed her car into his house and threatened to ‘ruin’ him if they ever broke up.
These days, Jason has become the subject of online vitriol for going on TikTok Live several times a day and asking his fans for donations. Some Reddit users speculate that the bulk of the comedian’s income comes from ‘begging’ his followers for money, and it’s also rumored that Jason has worked out a deal with the platform, and makes almost $1,000 per livestream. Whatever the case, the general consensus is that the internet personality is making a decent amount of money.
