Early life
Cyrus Dobre-Mofid was born on 9 March 1993, in Hagerstown, Maryland, USA, where he grew up – his brothers call him Cy and Jetpack. Their parents are Boz Mofid, a gymnastics coach and former Fit ‘n Fun gym owner, born on 29 March 1964 in Iran, and former Olympic gymnast Aurelia Dobre, born on 16 November 1972 in Bucharest, Romania. Its popularity rose quickly thanks to Lucas and Marcus, a YouTube channel created on 19 January 2011 by his younger brothers, well-known users of the short-form content platform Vine, then known under their nickname “TwinBotz.” All brothers moved to Los Angeles, California, US, and initially demonstrated typical gymnastics stunts in videos for their YouTube audience.
They quickly found what attracted views, and started breakdancing and doing backflips wherever possible.
