He’s probably known best for having been the frontman of the popular American deathcore band Lorna Shore until 2018, when he left so that he could replace Alex Koehler as the new vocalist of another American deathcore band, Chelsea Grin.
Education and early life
Tom was raised in California by his father who’s believed to be a dentist and mother who’s said to be a college professor, however, because Tom respects their privacy, he’s still to talk about them in public. He’s also believed to be an only child, as he hasn’t talked about having siblings.
Tom became interested in music at a very early age, and was seven when he started playing the guitar; he was enrolled at school of the arts not long after this and there also learned to sing, dance and act. Tom continue his education at a local high school in 2005 and was passionate about various activities during his time there, as he appeared in various school plays, played soccer, and ran track.
Tom matriculated in 2009, and then focused on music rather than pursuing a college degree.
Lorna Shore
The deathcore band Lorna Shore was founded in 2009 by Tom, lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey and bassist Gary Herrera in New Jersey; the name of the band is a minor love interest of Batman in the comic book “Batman Confidential”.
Their debut extended play (EP) “Triumph” came out in 2010, and had a metalcore sound; it was their second EP “Bone Kingdom” that established them as a deathcore band, while it was their third EP “Maleficium”, released in December 2013, that helped them become popular. Following the release of their third EP, Lorna Shore performed during the Die Without Hope Tour of the popular American deathcore band Carnifex; they then went on to tour with various popular bands, such as Fit for an Autopsy, Upon a Burning Body and The Last Ten Seconds of Life.

Lorna Shore’s debut album “Psalms” came out on 9 June 2015, after the band had signed a contract with Density Records; the album wasn’t very successful, and this led the men to sign with Outerloop Records. Their second album “Flesh Coffin” followed on 17 February 2017, while they had previously released its two singles “Denounce the Light” and “Funeral Moon”.
Their bassist Gary revealed in the first half of 2017 that he was leaving the band, while Tom then left in April 2018; Tom was replaced by CJ McCreery of the deathcore band Signs of the Swarm and Lorna Shore went on to release their new album “Immortal” under Century Media Records on 31 January 2020. They’ve since released only one album: “Pain Remains” in 2022.
Chelsea Grin
Tom joined Chelsea Grin after the band had already released four quite successful albums, and he helped them record their fifth, “Eternal Nightmare” even before he was announced as their new singer; the band’s former singer Alex Koehler was let go because of his struggle with alcoholism and mental health issues.
The band’s new song with Tom as their lead singer, “Bleeding Sun” came out on 24 July 2020, and another song “Blind Kings” followed on 13 November. It was revealed in August 2022 that the band’s drummer Pablo Viveros had begun performing with another band, but would still be a member of Chelsea Grin, around the same time that the band revealed that they were working on a double album with two release dates. The first installment, “Suffer in Hell” came out on 11 November 2022, and was followed by “Suffer in Heaven” on 17 March 2023; the former was a huge success, with the internet magazine “Boolin Tunes” describing it as ‘an absolute deathcore masterclass’.
The band is currently focused on touring around the US, although they’ve also revealed that they’re working on releasing new music.
Love life and relationships
Tom doesn’t talk about his love life in public as he respects his own privacy, however, some of his fans believe that he’s today in a long-term relationship with a non-celebrity American woman; the two have allegedly been spotted together in public on multiple occasions but Tom hasn’t addressed the rumors regarding the woman in question.
There are also some who believe that he’s perhaps attracted to men, and that this is why he won’t talk about his love life publicly; there have also been rumors about Tom having been in a relationship with one of his bandmates from Lorna Shore, and that their split led to him leaving the band, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.
Tom seems to be unattached as of February 2024, doesn’t have children and hasn’t married.
