Who is Andrea Londo?

Andrea was born in San Diego, California USA, on 7 November 1992 – her zodiac sign is Scorpio, and she holds both American and Mexican nationality. She’s an actress with 13 credits to her name, while she’s perhaps known best for her portrayal of Maria Salazar in the biographical crime series “Narcos”, created by Carlo Bernard and Chris Brancato, and which starred Pedro Pascal, Wagner Moura and Boyd Holbrook. It follows the life of the Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, aired from 2015 to 2017, and won eight of the 31 awards for which it was nominated, including three Primetime Emmy nominations.

Early life and education

Andrea was raised in Tijuana, Mexico as her family moved there not long after she was born; not a lot is known about her Mexican parents, as she respects their privacy, but it’s believed that her father was a teacher, and that her mother was a cashier at a local supermarket. According to some of Andrea’s Instagram pictures, she has an older brother.

Because she lived so close to the border between the US and Mexico, Andrea crossed it nearly every day to go to school in San Diego. She became interested in acting while attending high school, and although Andrea wanted to pursue acting after she matriculated in 2010, she was urged by her parents to focus on her further education, and then to pursue acting, if she still wanted it.

She thus enrolled at college, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2014.

Andrea made her debut film appearance in the 2014 short action drama “Pasaporte”, and her following role came in 2018, when she was cast to play Cynthia in the action crime thriller “SuperFly”. It was directed by Director X., starred Trevor Jackson, Jason Mitchell and Lex Scott Davis, and follows a drug dealer working in Atlanta, Georgia who’s planning to retire.

The year 2019 saw Andrea play Young Carmen in the biographical romantic drama “Ice Cream in the Cupboard”, and in 2020, she portrayed the lead character Maggie in the drama “Dreaming Grand Avenue”, written and directed by Hugh Schulze, and which also starred Jackson Rathbone and Wendy Robie.

Andrea made her debut TV series appearance in the 2015 episode “Catfish: Untold Stories Part 6” of the romantic drama “Catfish: The TV Show”, and the following year saw her play Edie in the episode “Ex-Posed” of the hit romantic comedy drama “Faking It”; it was created by Carter Covington and Dana Goodman, starred Rita Volk, Katie Stevens and Gregg Sulkin, and follows Amy and Karma who have come out as lesbians, because they want to become popular at school.
