Who is Joan Grande?
American businesswoman Joan Marguerite Grande was born under the zodiac sign Gemini on 11 June 1957, in Brooklyn, New York City USA. She’s probably only known for being the mother of famous American singer-songwriter and actress Ariana Grande-Butera.
Early life and career
Joan was raised in New York City by her father Francesco Anthony ‘Frank’ Grande who was an Italian-American retired soldier, and who died aged 90 on 22 July 2014, and mother Marjorie ‘Nonna’ M. Grande who’s today 98 years old.
Joan hasn’t shared many details about her early life but it’s known that she studied at a local high school in Brooklyn and was mostly focused on her studies during her time there; it’s believed that she took both acting and singing lessons but this remains unconfirmed.

Ariana was raised by her parents in Boca Raton and after their split when she was eight years old, she remained close to both of them. She was also eight when she sang in front of a crowd for the first time, performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the ice hockey team Florida Panthers’ game against the Chicago Blackhawks on 16 January 2002. She then went on to often perform at the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theatre, notably appearing in the plays “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Wizard of OZ”.
