Lidya Jewett Wiki Bio
Lidya Jewett was born in Ethiopia, close to the Ethiopian-Sudan border, on 19 January 2007 – her zodiac sign is Capricorn, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress and singer, with close to 20 acting credits to her name, while she’s probably known best for her portrayal of Sara Hill in the hit crime comedy series “Good Girls”. It was created by Jenna Bans, starred Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman, and follows three suburban mothers who have realized that they’ve lost power in their families; the series aired from 2018 to 2021, and won one of the two awards for which it was nominated.
Early life, parents and education
Lidya was four years old when she was adopted from an Addis Ababa orphanage by an American couple, and she thus moved to the USA and received American citizenship. Lidya hasn’t shared any details concerning her parents with the public, but it’s known that they have three biological children: daughter Isabelle Jewett, the American soldier Connor Jewett and another son Maclain Jewett. The family moved to Miami, Florida when Lidya was eight years old.
Lidya was 10 when she started appearing in print advertisements and TV commercials, and 15 when she made her debut TV series appearance in the episode “See Dad Overreact” of the family comedy drama “See Dad Run”.
It was created by Tina Albanese and Patrick Labyorteaux, starred Scott Baio, Alanna Ubach and Jackson Brundage, and follows an actor who has become a stay-at-home father so that his wife could work on her career; the series was nominated for five awards.
Lidya has since been highly active in the film industry. She’s currently attending a private high school, from which she should be matriculating in 2025; most of her fans believe that she won’t be pursuing a college degree, but will focus on her acting career.

Lydia has appeared in three TV series, including the above mentioned “See Dad Run” and “Good Girls”.
In 2015, she played Gracie Walker in 20 episodes of the fantasy comedy drama “WITS Academy”, created by Johnny Hartmann and Catharina Ledeboer, and which starred Daniela Nieves, Julia Antonelli and Jailen Bates.
It follows Andi Cruz who’s attending the WITS Academy in the Magic Realm, and is about to become a Guardian to the Chosen One; the series was nominated for a 2016 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series – Leading Young Actor (14 – 21) for Ryan Cargill.
Roles in movies
Lidya made her debut film appearance in the critically acclaimed 2016 biographical historical drama “Hidden Figures”, directed by Theodore Melfi, and which starred Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae. It follows several female African-American mathematicians who worked at NASA during the first US Space programs; the movie won 37 of the 134 awards for which it was nominated, including three Oscar nominations.
Lidya played Lina Annan in the 2017 hit family drama “Wonder”, and the following year saw her appear as Young Nakia in the action science fiction adventure “Black Panther”. Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, it starred Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o, and follows T’Challa, the heir to the throne of the secret kingdom of Wakanda, who has to lead his people but also face an enemy from his past; the movie won 118 awards, including three Oscars for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score), Best Achievement in Costume Design and Best Achievement in Production Design, while it was nominated for 280 other awards.
A couple of Lidya’s following roles were in the 2018 action adventure drama “The Darkest Minds”, the 2020 family comedy drama “Feel the Beat”, and the 2021 animated adventure comedy “Vivo” (voice role).
Most recently, in 2021 she played the lead character Yasmin in the family fantasy horror “Nightbooks”, directed by David Yarovesky, and which also starred Winslow Fegley and Krysten Ritter. It follows a boy who loves to listen to scary stories, and because of this has been kidnapped by an evil witch from New York City.
Lidya’s currently shooting for the upcoming family action “Ivy & Bean”.
Lidya worked as a voiceover on the 2019 horror mystery thriller movie “Annabelle Comes Home”.
Lidya could’ve been seen featured in the 2019 TV special “88th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade”.

Lidya is highly secretive when it comes to sharing the details of her love life with her fans, and hasn’t spoken of any boys (or girls) whom she might have been with. However, some of her fans believe that she’s today in a relationship with a non-celebrity American boy whom she met upon enrolling at high school, and it’s said that they have been together for around a year now; Lidya hasn’t addressed these rumors.
Lidya’s a highly social girl, and apparently has numerous friends, who can be seen featured in some of her Instagram pictures. She apparently finds it easy to get along with her fellow actors and actresses, regardless of their age.

Lidya has become passionate about travelling, and her acting career has already taken her to Los Angeles, California, and New York City.
